Criteria: The Air Force Command Civilan Award for Valor Medal (AFCCAVM) is granted to Air Force civilian personnel exhibiting bravery or competence in aiding others in an emergency whether it be on or off the job, and can be unrelated to performance of official duties. Examples of this type of action could consist of supervising an orderly exit from a building during a fire, keeping others calm, or executing proper course of action in an emergency.
