Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ Palm Lapel Pin

This lapel pin represents the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, a decoration created by South Vietnam on August 15, 1950, and awarded to certain units of the U.S. Armed Forces for valorous combat achievement during the Vietnam War, from March 1, 1961 to March 28, 1973. Modeled after the French Croix de Guerre, reflecting Vietnam's colonial heritage, the Gallantry Cross recognized deeds of valor and heroic conduct in combat with the enemy.

The palm device specifically denotes a citation at the Armed Forces level, the highest of four degrees, which also include the Gold Star (Corps level), Silver Star (Division level), and Bronze Star (Regiment or Brigade level). When conferred as a unit citation, the ribbon was worn encased in a gold frame with laurel leaves, matching the style of U.S. unit awards.

Sized for everyday wear, this pin lets veterans display this recognition on a suit lapel or jacket. It's built for accurate detail and lasting durability.
