This is the Michigan National Guard Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon. Awarded to members of the Michigan National Guard who distinguish themselves through valorous service that improves the Military Establishment. The individual that earns this award must be in a position of great authority and responsibility. For additional awards, a bronze oak leaf cluster is presented.
