This is the Michigan National Guard Lifesaving Medal Ribbon. Awarded to members of the Michigan National Guard who set themselves apart through heroic action. This act must be an attempt to save another's life and must be extraordinary and meritorious in nature. Additional awards are denoted by silver oak leaf clusters.
