United States Navy SSBN Deterrent Patrol Insignia Silver Star
Criteria: The scroll beneath the SSBN Deterrent Patrol Insignia can hold up to six service stars. Each Gold Star worn on the insignia represents once successful patrol (after the first, with the pin being representing the first patrol). A silver star hung from the insignia scroll represents five successful patrols. At twenty successful patrols, the SSBN pin is upgraded to a gold design.
