This is the New Mexico National Guard Medal of Valor Ribbon. Awarded to members of the New Mexico National Guard who set themselves apart through a valorous act. The act does not have to involve risk of life, however it must distinguish the individual from their peers. For subsequent awards oak leaf clusters are presented.
