Criteria:
The Public Health Service Bicentennial Unit Commendation is an award of the Department of Health and Human Services. It was presented to officers within the PHS who were on active duty when the Public Health Services celebrated their bicentennial year in 1998. Considered a civilian award, it is approved for wear on all U.S. Armed Forces uniforms.
