Empty Large Shadow Box Display Case
Proudly display your military career or that of a loved one with this expertly-crafted Large Shadow Box. Built with an acrylic glass front and cherry finish frame, the Large Display Case can accommodate up to 10 medals with an assortment of uniform components (i.e. badges, patches and ribbons). The outer dimensions of the large shadow box are 28 in x 15 7/8 in x 1.75". Choose between four different colored backgrounds: Black, Blue, Green and Red.
For an additional fee you can have the option of including a custom-engraved brass nameplate. Use the text box above to enter exactly what you would like engraved on the nameplate. Up to four lines can be engraved with a maximum of 30 characters per line.

"Pros: I appreciated that customer service contacted me to verify the spellings on the name plate prior to production. I bought mine unassembled because I was unsure of the layout. It was packaged carefully for shipping. In the end it made a beautiful display of my wife's awards as a competitive swimmer. Cons: I was surprised there was only cherry finish available. More wood finishes would be a plus. I had to paint mine. The wood had some significant gouges in the lid frame which I took care of prior to paint. I also thought that the S&H charge was a lot ($82+). Overall, I would say I am satisfied with the end result."

Q&A
- Does the felt board come out to allow you to put the backs in the pins?
- It does! The felt board does need to be secured to the back of the box, but we use a very strong hook-and-loop fastener to keep it in place. This will ensure a sturdy hold but also the opportunity to carefully remove the felt to make additions/modifications.
- Hi. I am looking to purchase an empty shadow box for some lapel pins and patches. Is the backing made of a material that pins can easily go through? Please let me know. Thanks!
- Yes, it is! The colored felt is adhered to a dense foam board, which is firm enough to stay rigid but can also have items pinned in to it. It's also thin enough that you can still use the clasp on the back to hold the pins in place.
- received the empty large shadow box and it looks very nice. Can you share how you attach unit patches to the felt of the display board? Is gluing the patch with tacky glue workable? Thanks
- We highly recommend using velcro to attach patches. If the patch already has velcro it will stick right to the backing felt. If not, you can purchase some velcro (the rough side) and stick it to the back of the patches.
- Is this one solid frame that opens in the back like a regular picture frame? With hardware hidden in the back?
- This case has a latch on the side which allows it to be opened like a book.
