Criteria: This is the Unit Crest (Distinctive Unit Insignia) for the 348th Regiment. The shield and the motto on the crest (Sincerity and Strength) are both representative of the Choctaw people. The Choctaw resided heavily in the state of Mississippi, which is where the 348th was originally organized. Unit Crests are worn on the epaulets of the Army Class A Uniform jacket.
