Criteria: These distinctive unit insignia (DUI) are worn by the 36th Engineer Battalion. Approved for wear in 1942 for the 36th Combat Engineer Regiment and redesignated in 1953. Their motto is "Rugged." Unit crests are worn on the Army Service Uniform (ASU) and Army Class A Uniform (Greens).
