Criteria: The Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal (ARMS) is granted to Air Force Reservists for commendable behavior, efficiency, and reliability during three years of enlisted and active service. Additional awards of the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal are denoted with oak leaf clusters. The ARMS was created in 1964 as the "Air Force Reserve Ribbon", then in 1971 the decoration evolved into a full sized medal with its current name. Between the years of 1965 and 1974 this awards was granted to personnel with four years of distinguished reserve service, then in 1975 the time limit was lowered to three years.

"My experience was outstanding! For the past 20+ years, I used Medals of America. When they didn’t update their website with an AFCM with a “C” device , I had to start doing some research. It was at this point that I stumbled upon your website, which I thank God I found. Your website was so easy to navigate and well thought out. I really appreciate the fact that your website saves my ribbon rack if you create an account. I plan on buying a mini rack to put on my Iraq & Afghanistan veteran hat for the Memorial Day Parade. If I could ask for one thing, it would be to make more items (shirts and hats) for veterans who have done multiple tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, along with veterans who who went to both, plus multiple tours.
