Army Presidential Unit Citation
Army Presidential Unit Citation
Criteria: The Army Presidential Unit Citation (PUC) is awarded to units who demonstrate exceptional heroism in action against an armed enemy. Requirements include that the unit must "display such gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its mission under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions as to set it apart from and above other units in the same campaign."
Originally known as the Distinguished Unit Citation, the name wasn't changed until the 3rd of November in 1966. Additional awards of the citation are represented by wearing a Oak Leaf Cluster device on the service ribbon.
