- Who exactly can get the cold war medal?
- This is not yet, technically, an official military award, it is still considered commemorative. It is supposed to reflect honorable service during the Cold War, which is defined as lasting from September 2, 1945 to December 26, 1991. Until Congress approves it, it will remain commemorative and its criteria somewhat undefined.
