Illinois National Guard Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon

Criteria: This is the Illinois National Guard Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon. This ribbon is awarded to personnel who distinguish themselves by exceptionally meritorious service to the State in the performance of duty of great responsibility, or who distinguish themselves by acts of heroism beyond the call of duty as described above to a lesser degree than required for the Illinois Medal of Valor. This award can be earned more than once and is how by bronze and silver oak leaf clusters.
