The Kuwait Liberation of Kuwait Medal (KLM) is a decoration presented by the Kuwait government to individuals who served in the Liberation of Kuwait Campaign. To be eligible, members must have served in Operation Desert Shield or Operation Desert Storm on regular duty and participated in either ground operations, naval vessel operations or as a crew member in aerial flight operations between the dates of August 2, 1990 - August 31, 1993. Those serving temporary duty must have served at least 30 consecutive days or 60 nonconsecutive days, unless they participated in an active combat operation.

"I had ordered a Kuwait liberation medal/ribbon and a 9 position medal/ribbon mount. The 9 position mount was great but I noticed the Kuwait liberation medal looked like the color portions were not correct. I sent a response to USAMM customer support and explained along with pictures of the medal. A person named Maison responded the next day and understood by the pictures that it wasn't correct and stated she would send out a replacement by overnight mail. I received the new medal and it looks correct now. I can't believe that it was so easy for USAMM to understand and immediately send out a replacement. I appreciate the company standing behind their products and making customer's satisfaction a priority. Don't see that always in the world today, thank you very much Maison. I will attach a side by side picture to show the difference."
