"My wife and I are renewing our vows, 50 years plus 1 day, in July 2023. I got married in my blues, so I was told to get them ready to display, not wear. I got out my cover and found out that the chin strap disintegrated in my hands. My uniforms have been in the attic since 1993. I found a replacement at the USAMM website. I received the strap and it was exactly what I needed. The important thing is that my wife is happy and the organizer for the event is happy.
