Marine Corps China Service Medal
The Marine Corps China Service Medal (CHISM) is a decoration presented to members of United States Marine Corps who served in China from July 7, 1937 - September 7, 1939 or served from September 2, 1945 - April 1, 1957. Service members who served in the Asiatic-Pacific area from September 2, 1945 - March 2, 1946 may be eligible for the award if they did not receive the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. Individuals who participated in operations during both time periods are authorized to wear a bronze Service Star on their award ribbon.
