There are currently 10 versions of the NATO Medal to recognize service in Yugoslavia, Kosovo, the republic of Macedonia, service during Article 5 operations (two), service for Non-Article 5 operations (four) and NATO meritorious service. The specific operation is indicated by a clasp displaying the name of the operation and some display unique ribbon patterns
