Philippine Liberation Anodized Miniature Medal - World War II
The Philippine Liberation Medal (PLR) is a decoration presented by the Republic of the Philippines to recognize members of the Philippine Commonwealth military and allied forces who served during the liberation of the Philippine Islands from October 17, 1944 - September 2, 1945. To be eligible, personnel must have served at least 30 days or participated in the commencing operation of Leyte from October 7 - October 20, 1944 or participation in the Philippine Liberation Campaign against hostile Japanese forces. Service members who participated in either of the two operation mentioned above are eligible for a Service Star to be worn as an attachment on the service award.
