The Gallantry Cross with Palm indicates an individual award cited before the Army, the Gallantry Cross with Gold Star indicates a Corps citation, the Gallantry Cross with Silver Star indicates a Division citation and the Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star indicates a Regiment or Brigade citation. When a higher ranking device is awarded, this device replaces the previous device of lower rank. Devices are not authorized to be worn together.
