USAF Honor Guard Badge
USAF Honor Guard Badge
This badge is authorized for wear by all personnel assigned to the United States Air Force Honor Guard (USAF HG). Derived from the USAF Honor Guard emblem created in 1976 by Malcolm Haynes, the badge is composed of crossed elements central to the emblem's design, featuring the words "USAF Honor Guard" and "To Honor With Dignity."
Unlike most Air Force occupational badges, the Honor Guard Badge is not issued in basic, senior, or master degrees — it's worn only while a member is actively assigned to Honor Guard duty and must be removed upon completion of that tour. For male service members, it's worn centered on the left uniform pocket below standard awards and decorations; for female service members, it's worn on the right side, level with the bottom of their decorations.
