The World War II Army of Occupation Medal (AOM) is a decoration awarded to members of the U.S. Army and Air Force who served in specific regions of Europe or Asia following the end of WWII. A "Germany Bar" device is worn with the medal by personnel who served in the following locations in Europe during the accompanied dates: Italy (May 9, 1945 - May 5, 1955); Germany (May 9, 1945 - May 5, 1955); Austria (May 9, 1945 - July 27, 1955) and West Berlin (May 9, 1945 - October 2, 1990). A "Japan Bar" device is worn by personnel who served in the following locations in Asia during the accompanied dates: Japan (September 3, 1945 to April 27, 1952), and; Korea (September 3, 1945 to June 29, 1949). The Berlin Airlift Device is also approved to be worn as an attachment on the World War II Army of Occupation Medal for those who participated in the Berlin Airlifts.

Nothing but perfection
"I just purchased a LARGE quantity of materials from USAMM, enough to makes a family shadow box, my father (WWII era), mine (desert storm era) and my son (current) and cannot express how delighted EVERYTHING came better than expected. I even had USAMM build the racks & of course nothing short of perfection!!!
