Air and Space Campaign Medal
Criteria:
The US Air and Space Force awards the Air and Space Campaign Medal (ASCM) to personnel involved (after March 24th, 1999) in the U.S. Military operation that was designated by the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force. The ASCM is awarded to Air Force personnel for serving direct support of a military operation for a period of 30 consecutive days or 60 non-consecutive days.
Qualifying operations include: Operations Allied Force (24 March - 10 June 1999), Joint Guardian (11 June 1999 - date to be determined), Allied Harbour (4 April - 1 September 1999), Sustain Hope/Shining Hope (4 April - 10 July 1999), Noble Anvil (24 March - 20 July 1999), and Kosovo Task Forces Hawk (5 April - 24 June 1999), Saber (31 March - 8 July 1999), Falcon (11 June 1999 - DTBD), and Hunter (1 April - 1 November 1999).
This award is authorized only for USAF and USSF personnel and is prohibited for issuance if another service or campaign medal has already been awarded for the particular operation.
